This is an assessment day - the assessment will determine whether you have the required sailing ability to become an instructor. There is not time on the day for training input - you should have recent sailing experience and fully understand what will be required of you on the day.
Candidates will be able to progress onto the RYA Dinghy Instructor course, within a year of successful completion.
As a guide, you should be able to proficently complete any manoeuvre/skill from the syllabi of stage 4 and Seamanship Skills.
