POWERBOAT LEVEL 2

This two-day entry level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. It focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations. The course can be taken inland or on the coast and your certificate will be endorsed accordingly.

In this course we look at how to assist different types of water users when they are having problems. The course is run over 2 days from 10.00 till 17.00 and is free for club members hoping to become safety boatdrivers.

With our excellent range of craft and fully qualified Powerboat Instructors DWSC is the perfect place to gain Power boating Qualifications so close to London. For anyone wishing to own or run a Powerboat, RYA Powerboat Level 2 (PB2) is swiftly becoming the “Driving Licence” of Powerboating with many Insurers and Marinas asking for it along with any RYA Instructor Qualifications. For people with prior Powerboating experience we run a PB2 Direct Assessment over 2 hours at a time that suits you.

RYA Safety Boat teaches the holder how to deal with many different situations on the water in a safe and professional way whether it is righting a capsized dinghy or saving a stranded windsurfer. PB2 and Safety Boat are run over 2 days from 09:30am to 5pm. You must bring a passport photo for certification (required).
